SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (WTOL) - Two people were transported to a hospital Wednesday afternoon after a house fire in Springfield Township.
The pair reportedly were pulled from a house on Brixton Road.
Springfield Township fire chief Barry Cousino said there was one male and one female inside.
The call for the fire came in just before 12:10 p.m. It was originally a call for an ill person, Cousino said.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze within 10-15 minutes from the time they arrived on scene.
"We do have an investigator from the state fire marshal's office in to assist us with the investigation," Cousino said. "I'm sure he'll be conducting those interviews [with neighbors] over the next several hours."
The conditions and identities of the people have not been released.
