TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - One Toledo Police officer was treated for exposure to what is suspected to be Fentanyl following a foot pursuit at 3115 Warsaw on Tuesday.
Officers Sperry and Collins apprehended the male suspect, who threw a bag containing white powder during the pursuit.
Afterwards, Officer Sperry recovered the bag and the suspect was transported to the safety building.
Officer Sperry began to feel dizzy and light headed and was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment.
At the safety building, it was determined that the powder was suspected Fentanyl.
While at the hospital the proper paperwork was completed.
Officer Sperry was treated and released.
