OREGON, OH (WTOL) - A six-year-old girl is recovering from her injuries after she was shot Monday evening.
The shooting happened on the 200 block of Van Buren Street on Toledo's east side around 6 p.m.
Police said when they arrived on scene, they found the young girl shot in the arm by a .25 cal. pistol.
Her injuries are non-life threatening.
Police determined that the girl's seven-year-old brother shot her after he found the gun in a dresser drawer in the home of family friend, Lisa Peace.
The two children were visiting Peace, 53, with their father, when the children went into the bedroom to watch T.V.
Peace is now being charged with a child endangering felony.
She is being held in the Lucas County Jail.
