TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Three juvenile suspects -- ages 11, 12 and 14 -- are facing charges in the series of vandalism at Forest Cemetery following investigation by Toledo Police.
Since April, the cemetery has been vandalized on at least three occasions. The vandalism has included knocking over headstones, carving profanities into decorative stones, and damaging the mausoleum.
The suspects have been charged with felony vandalism related to damage on June 11.
Chief George Kral said he commends the work of the community on this case. As in all cases, community partnerships and open communication are vital to criminal investigations, the chief stressed.
The investigation continues into incidents that occurred on April 12 and July 30. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
