HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (WTOL) - A man is in the hospital after being hit by a semi on southbound I-75 in Hancock County on Thursday.
The incident happened near mile post 150 around 5:20 p.m.
Police say 52-year-old Michael Tew of Alabama was driving a semi and went by another semi parked on the side of the roadway driven by 47-year-old Max Brown of Indiana.
Witnesses told police that Brown was in front of his semi and ended up in the right lane of I-75 in front of Tew's semi, causing Tew to hit Brown.
People on the scene administered medical aid to Brown until first responders could arrive on the scene.
Police say Brown was taken to UTMC by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
Tew was not injured.
