TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - SSOE Group is a worldwide engineering company that started in and is based in downtown Toledo.
On Wednesday, the company celebrated 70 years in business and in the midst of celebrating, they shut down parts of 10th Street.
The whole company was out for a party and presentations in the street, and received accolades from the city's government leaders.
"The firm was founded by my father, Al Samborn in 1948, and we are just here to share in the success the firm has enjoyed over these seven decades and hope that it continues on its trajectory for seven more decades," said Randy Samborn.
Samborn's family was present for the celebration despite no longer having stake in the company.
They are currently hiring, and plan to be a Toledo staple for many years to come.
