CLEVELAND (WTOL) - You can get a job in Ohio by turning in a gun.
At least that's what the organization "Building Futures" is trying to do in Cleveland.
The group is offering six months of free, hands-on training for skills like plumbing, electric, carpentry and construction.
The only requirement is to turn in an unloaded gun.
"It's a life-changing experience because these are skills that you can carry for the rest of your life," said Terrance Barnes a job trainee.
"All you have to do is open up to find a person's passion," explained Wilson Jones, one of the job trainers.
More than half-a dozen people have steady jobs since completing the program. The next class starts this September with 15 students.
