TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Toledo fire crews had their hands full Friday morning as multiple fires popped up around the city.
One fire on the 1900 block of Fairfax started when a car went up in flames around 3 a.m.
Neighbors say they heard a loud boom and went outside to see the car on fire.
The car fire was put out, but crews say a nearby house then caught fire about half an hour later.
The back of the house was damaged.
Crews were also on the scene of a fire on Woodstock Avenue.
Neighbor Jonathon Goldsmith said he witnessed the whole thing.
"When I looked outside, it wasn't flames, it was a big ol' ball of smoke and it was coming all the way across the street. You could just see the glass breaking, then when I got the kids to my neighbors and awareing them, that's when you could see flames. It was just going," Goldsmith said.
Crews say the house was recently sold, and no one lived in it at this time.
