'Jack's Pooch Plunge' reschedules due to inclement weather

SYLVANIA, OH (WTOL) -

Dog owners can give back to their pups and a local dog park at the seventh annual “Jack’s Pooch Plunge."

The "pooch plunge" will now be taking place on September 11, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Sylvania Plummer Pool in Burnham Park.

The event was set to take place on September 9, but has been rescheduled due to weather.

Dogs of all sizes can splish, splash, swim or just relax in a heated zero-entry pool.

Small dogs (30 pounds and under) are encouraged to attend from 5 - 6 p.m. and large dogs will be admitted after 6 pm.

The admission is $5 per four-legged friend.

All proceeds will benefit the Glass City Dog Park located at Woodsdale Park off the Anthony Wayne Trail.

Since its inception, "Jack’s Pooch Plunge" has raised over $7,000 dollars for Toledo’s only dog park.

The event is co-sponsored by Sylvania Recreation, and the City of Sylvania.
