TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Fans at Fifth Third Field will be wearing a lot of pink Friday night for the Annual Pink in the Park game for the Toledo Mud Hens.
The goal of the night is to raise awareness for the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
Everyone is encouraged to wear pink and a portion of ticket sales will go right to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
In addition, there will be raffles and other bonuses for fans who go to the game.
"They recognize and say 'I see you, you have had breast cancer. You may be living with metastatic breast cancer, and we know your struggles and we support you.' And that kind of community coming together, you see all that pink in the stands it's just unbelievable and for survivors it means so much," explained Desmond Strooh with the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
If the weather permits, the first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
