Popular pop culture conventions combine this weekend in downtown Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - There's a group of people in town this weekend who will definitely grab your attention if you see them walking down the street.

The Glass City Con X Midwest Media Expo is at the SeaGate Centre in downtown Toledo through Sunday.

The event is a fusion of the Glass City Con, which has been going on since 2009 and focuses on Japanese Anime and the Midwest Media Expo, which has been held every year since 2014.

The event is billed as the area's premier pop culture event.

There's artwork, video games, Japanese Anime, shopping, board game tournaments, role playing and more.

Round the clock panel discussions are also held, not to mention celebrity appearances by artists and YouTube personalities.

We met someone who calls himself Eye-Otto.

"He's my persona. It's an alternate persona in the furry community," said Eye-Otto.  "We are people who appreciate the anthropomorphic lifestyle."\

The expo runs until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday night and resumes on Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Admission is twenty dollars.
