FBI: Suspect in several area bank robberies arrested

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) -

Agents with the FBI said a man suspected of three bank robberies in less than a week has been arrested. 

Robert Andrew Harris, 41, was reportedly taken without incident Saturday morning after several law enforcement agencies sent out bulletins seeking information on him. 

The FBI said that a tip from photos seen in media led to his successful arrest by the task force.

The Cleveland Division of the FBI, Toledo Resident Agency, the Toledo Police Department and Northwood Police Department are are involved with the case investigation. 

Harris is suspected of three bank robberies and one attempted bank robbery. It is believed that Harris committed the July 9 robbery of the Citizens Bank at 1501 South Detroit Ave. in Toledo; the robbery Wednesday of the Fifth Third Bank at 2673 Woodville Road in Northwood, and a robbery Friday at Fifth Third bank on South Reynolds Road in West Toledo. He's also accused of an attempted robbery Thursday at Key Bank at 1612 Broadway St. in Toledo.

The FBI also said on Friday that they suspect he also committed a robbery at Fifth Third bank on South Reynolds Road in West Toledo on Friday afternoon.
