Construction to Port Clinton Lift Bridge experiences more delays

PORT CLINTON, OH (WTOL) -

The work to fix the Port Clinton Lift Bridge experienced another delay Thursday.

ODOT began a nearly $13 million project on the bridge back in October.

The hope was to complete the work over the winter and early spring, but the project has been plagued by delays.

The most recent one came as crews still have to perform a number of tests on the bridge to ensure it functions correctly.

ODOT now hopes to have the bridge open to traffic early next month.
