Northwood police looking for robbery suspect

NORTHWOOD, OH (WTOL) -

Northwood Police are searching for the man they believe is responsible for a bank robbery that happened Wednesday evening.

Police said the Fifth Third Bank located on Woodville Road in Northwood was robbed around 4:30 p.m.

The robbery suspect is described as a clean-shaven black man who was wearing a white T-shirt, baggy jeans and black hat at the time of the incident. 

According to police, he demanded money from the teller without a weapon and without hurting anyone.

After the money was stolen, witnesses said they saw the robbery suspect get into an older tan minivan with another black man. 

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call Northwood Police at 419-691-5053 or the FBI at 419-243-6122.
