From start to finish, Marathon Classic food keeps it in the 419

Food from the 419 for Marathon Classic

SYLVANIA, OH (WTOL) - Concessions. Pro-Am dinner. Player breakfast. Women's summit. Gala.

For the second year in a row, The Pinnacle Catering is making and serving ALL the food at Highland Meadows for the LPGA Marathon Classic weeklong event.

For 10 years, the food for the multiple events, both for spectators and pros, was catered by a national company associated with the Ladies Professional Golf Association.

Now, that's not the case. The Pinnacle Catering is using local vendors and local businesses we know and love!

Tony Packo's Pickles. Willie's Salsa. Ballreich's. Local produce. All cooked and prepared locally.

Head Chef Dave explains the ripple effect is huge and he's excited about bringing in more local vendors from the area.

Every concession stand will have a manager from Pinnacle. All the serving staff and kitchen staff will be from Pinnacle. The head chef himself will be at the course by 4 a.m. every day to make sure breakfast for the golfers is ready to go. When he leaves the course, he'll head back to Maumee to make sure the next day's food is in order.

Eating local tastes good at the Marathon Classic.
