TPD releases suspect photo in Citizens Bank robbery

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) -

Toledo Police and the FBI are circulating a photo of a suspect in the robbery of a Citizens Bank in South Toledo.

Just before 2 p.m. on Monday, the bank at 1501 S. Detroit Ave. was robbed of an undisclosed amount, according to Stephen D. Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Cleveland Division.

According to the FBI, a lone black male entered the Citizens Bank and demanded money from tellers.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 200-210 pounds. The suspect has a mustache and beard and last was seen wearing a tan hat with a dark bill, blue T-shirt and sunglasses.

Officials are asking that if you can identify this male or have any other information regarding the robbery to contact the FBI at 419-243-6122 or Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.

    The founder of Fricker’s Restaurants has died at age 72. The Dayton Daily News is reporting that Raymond Frick, who grew up in east Toledo and lived for many years in Perrysburg, died on Wednesday at the Cleveland Clinic. There are 24 Fricker’s locations in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan including four in the Toledo area, and one in Bowling Green, Adrian, Defiance, Findlay, Fremont and Sandusky.
