TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Two men are behind bars after allegedly robbing a north Toledo carryout and then running from police Thursday night.
The robbery happened at Buckeye Carryout on 740 Buckeye around 11 p.m.
Police say Jaymon Tate and Romell Mathis robbed the carryout wearing masks and carrying a shotgun.
Investigators say Tate pointed the loaded gun at the clerk and demanded money.
After receiving reports of the shooting, two TPD officers observed two males walking on the bike path near Michigan under the I-280 overpass.
As officers approached the men, the two fled.
After a short chase, the officers apprehended the two men.
Police say one man had a black duffel bag containing money and black clothing.
Police found the shotgun used in the robbery inside another nearby duffel bag.
Both Tate and Mathis were charged with aggravated robbery and are being held on a $100,000 bond.
