TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - With the hot weather coming this weekend taking care of yourself is important. Part of taking care of yourself means ensuring your car is safe as well.
Checking your tire pressure and car battery are both important.
Additionally keeping up with routine oil checks can prevent your car from overheating If your car does overheat, shut it off immediately.
"Shut it down, obviously give us a call, don't continue to drive the car because by continuing to drive the car in an overheated condition, it can actually do additional damage to the motor itself," said AAA representative Matt Barnes.
AAA said they will be doing check ups all weekend. It is free of charge for all members.
