MONROE COUNTY, MI (WTOL) - Troopers from the Michigan State Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly crash that killed two people in Monroe County on Thursday.
The crash happened on South Dixie Highway near Kelly Road in LaSalle Township around 8 p.m.
Police say a 52-year-old woman from Ottawa Lake was driving a Dodge Neon on South Dixie Highway when she crossed the center line and hit a Harley-Davidson motorcycle head-on.

Police say the impact of the crash was so severe that the motorcycle caught fire and had to be extinguished by emergency responders.
The driver of the Dodge Neon suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to ProMedica Hospital for treatment.
Police said that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash on the part of the driver of the Dodge Neon.
