PERRYSBURG, OH (WTOL) - Just 13 states have implemented comprehensive, proven actions to eliminate opioid overdoses. Ohio and Michigan both on the list.
The National Safety Council awarded the "improving" mark, which is the highest mark, to the 13 states.
Eight states received a "failing" mark.
The council looked at six key actions that impact the opioid crisis in addition to comprehensive data and prevention strategy evaluations.
