CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The bar owned by Cincinnati's beloved boy band will shut its doors this weekend.

Lachey's Bar announced the unexpected closure earlier this week.

Nick and Drew Lachey, of 90s boy band 98 Degrees, opened the Over-the-Rhine bar three years ago.

"Thank You Cincinnati for helping me realize a dream and the chance to share it with multiple generations of Lacheys and Lachey fans," Nick wrote on Instagram. "We will be closing it’s doors after this Saturday night. Let’s make some more amazing memories this weekend and send her out in style!!"

Nick Lachey said he's taking Friday off to visit the bar one last time.

He invited his Twitter followers to join the final farewell party.

"Lachey’s was always packed for sports but unfortunately it couldn’t survive on that business alone," 4EG principle Bob Deck told our news partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer. "It’s always been a struggle to generate lunch business over there as well."

Deck told the Enquirer that there are no specific plans for the space, but "all options" are being reviewed.
