LUCAS COUNTY (WTOL) - Marsy's Law, also known as Issue One, the Crime Victim's Rights Initiative, has been been a got topic throughout the state of Ohio.
The issue was named after a woman who was killed in California after her offender was released on bail, which no one in Marsy's family knew about.
Issue one will give victims more information on their offender. It will notify victims on case proceedings and will allow them to give input on plea deals.
Opponents say the protections are expensive and will allow victims to intervene with the criminal justice process.
