(RNN) - The Smokehouse of NY is voluntarily recalling some of its smoked fish products out of concern the products may be contaminated with listeria, the FDA reported.

Listeria was found in the company's warehouse during routine testing; however, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the company's products.

The fish products were distributed to markets, restaurants and hotels in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Alabama, Minnesota and Montana.

The following smoked fish products - with expiration dates from April 5 to April 19 - are being recalled:

  • Norwegian, 4 oz., 8 oz. and whole sides
  • Pastrami smoked salmon, 4 oz. and 8 oz.
  • Smoked sturgeon, 4 oz.
  • Smoked whitefish salad
  • Double smoked Irish salmon, 4 oz. and 8 oz.
  • Gravlax salmon, 4 oz. and 8 oz.
  • Kippered salmon, 8 oz.
  • Trout fillet, 8 oz.
  • Imported Scottish smoked salmon, 4 oz. and 8 oz.

Listeria organisms can cause serious and sometimes fatal illnesses in children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.

The company said it has ceased production of the products and is working to meet "all guidelines implemented by the FDA."

The products can be returned for a full refund.
