A man is dead after a farming accident in Putnam County.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene of a trapped person on Road I-14 Monday afternoon.
Emergency personnel found 69-year-old Gordon Verhoff trapped between the frame and dump bed of a GMC 3500 dump truck.
It appears Verhoff had emptied a load of stone and was inspecting the underside of the dump bed when it unexpectedly dropped, resulting in fatal injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
