Noe Resigns US Mint Position

Washington, DC --  News 11 has learned that Toledo coin dealer and prominent Republican, Tom Noe, has resigned his position with the U. S. Mint.  A spokesperson for the Mint says Noe resigned his position as chairman of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, a panel that determines the designs and minting levels of all new U.S. coins for the Treasury Department. Noe has held that position since October of 2003 shortly after it was formed.

Tom Noe submitted an unexplained resignation letter yesterday to the US Treasury Department yesterday afternoon at 2pm.
