HOLLAND, Mich. (AP) - Researchers are setting out again in search of the remains of Northwest Airlines Flight 2501 that disappeared over Lake Michigan nearly 70 years ago. The airplane was carrying 58 people when it went missing in 1950. There were no survivors, marking the worst aviation disaster in the U.S. at the time. The Michigan Shipwreck Research Association has spent years searching for Flight 2501. Researchers plan to narrow the search area and use more advanced equipment this spring.

DETROIT (AP) - A global engineering consulting firm is relocating its North American headquarters from the suburbs into Detroit. Tata Technologies will bring about 150 jobs early next year from Novi, northwest of Detroit, to TechTown near Wayne State University. Chief Executive Warren Harris said Friday that TechTown's proximity to leading automotive, mobility and tech companies was one reason for the move.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A former village councilman will stand trial in connection with a wrong-way crash that killed a Detroit-area couple. The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports that 59-year-old Michael Stack waived his preliminary examination Friday. Stack is charged with two counts of reckless driving causing death and one count of having an open intoxicant in his vehicle. Shannon McIntyre and Nicholas Pare were killed Dec. 12 on northbound Interstate 275 in Canton Township.

DETROIT (AP) - A 48-year-old Detroit-area man will spend a 1½ to 15 years in prison for a crash that killed a Wayne County road repair worker and injured another. Bobby Lee Collins of Lincoln Park was sentenced Friday. Authorities have said David Wolf and Wilbert King were hit March 23, 2017 by a county truck in Taylor, southwest of Detroit. Wolf later died. King suffered injuries to his abdomen and legs. Collins was part of the road crew.
