The Republican governor on Friday commuted the sentence of death row inmate Raymond Tibbetts to life without the possibility of parole. Ex-juror Ross Geiger came forward last year, saying jurors weren't given enough information at trial about Tibbetts' tough childhood.

The Blade reports a judge in Toledo called 41-year-old Angie Walker a "depraved individual" before sentencing her Thursday in the death of 7-month-old Levi Ashley. Walker continues to maintain that she's innocent. Her attorney said evidence didn't explain the baby's death and asked the judge to appoint another attorney to work on Walker's appeal.
