COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A congressman who coached wrestling at Ohio State University has been interviewed by the law firm investigating allegations that a now-dead team doctor sexually abused male athletes. His spokesman says Republican Rep. Jim Jordan spoke Monday with the firm investigating Dr. Richard Strauss and Ohio State's response to any complaints about Strauss. Jordan has said he wasn't aware of abuse when he was an assistant coach from 1987 to 1995. His spokesman says he told the investigators the same thing.

LUCASVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Ohio has put to death a killer sentenced to die for stabbing and strangling a man he met in a bar in 1985. The execution of Robert Van Hook by lethal injection was carried out Wednesday at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. Time of death was 10:44 a.m. The 58-year-old Van Hook was sentenced to die for killing David Self in Cincinnati. Van Hook, weeping, told his victim's brother, sister and brother-in-law he was "very sorry for taking your brother away."

CLEVELAND (AP) - Authorities say a 13-year-old boy received a gunshot to the head from his brother's gun and has died. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office hasn't ruled on the official cause of death for the boy it identifies as Joesus West. He died Tuesday after the Sunday shooting at his Cleveland home. The boy's 17-year-old brother told police they were in bed and a gun was on the bed. Police say the teen said he rolled over, heard a gunshot and saw his brother was shot. Police are investigating.

CLEVELAND (AP) - The owner of an Ohio company that makes American flags has been charged for failing to forward more than $160,000 in payroll taxes to the Internal Revenue Service. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Cleveland says 51-year-old Richard Spencer was indicted on 15 employment tax-related counts Wednesday.
