FULTON COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Fulton County is informing residents in the Village of Metamora, Amboy Township, Fulton Township, Royalton Township and Swancreek Township, who receive their water from the Northeast Water System and Swancreek Water District, of the microcystin detected near Toledo’s water intake.

These areas receive water from Toledo and may be affected in the event that microcystin is detected in the city’s tap water.

All residents are strongly encouraged to prepare for such an event by stocking up with a three to seven day supply of water as well as other items recommended in an emergency.

If you’re unsure as to where your water comes from you should look at your water bill for verification.
