BBB continues to warn of IRS scam

(Toledo News Now) - The Better Business Bureau is continuing to warn of an IRS scam.

The BBB says even though tax season is long gone, they want to remind you to be leary of anyone calling and claiming to be from the IRS.

They say they have been receiving calls everyday from people who have been told they owe money and if they don't pay they will get arrested.

IRS officials say they are not going to call out of the blue. They say you should also watch out for individuals who call from numbers that appear on the caller ID as a toll-free IRS number, more than likely you're being spoofed.

If you become a victim of an IRS scam you can call the Better Business Bureau at 419-531-3116 or 1-800-743-4222.
