Only on 11: Pedestrian hit on Easter Sunday dies at hospital

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Police say they have identified the man who hit a woman as she was crossing the street Easter Sunday. The victim's sister talked exclusively to WTOL about what happened.

Toledo Police say Jean Nave, 75, was hit by a car, driven by 29-year-old Billy Wayne Fell Jr., as she crossed East Bancroft Street at Cherry Street in central Toledo. Fell Jr. is not wanted but he has not been charged in this crime just yet. "We want closure that's what we really want right now," Nave's sister, who asked to remain anonymous, told us.

Nave was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Her injuries were severe and she passed away on April 10. Nave's sister is coming to grips that her sister has died. "She was just doing her evening walk. She walked a lot. She loved to walk," Nave's sister says.

Police say Fell has not yet been charged in the case as the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
