TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - The couple charged in connection with the disappearance of a teenager in Tiffin faced a judge in Seneca County on Friday.
Madalyn Hiser, 14, disappeared from her home on March 22. She was missing for two weeks before she was found safe at an apartment complex in Anderson, Indiana.
Police say Hiser was staying with Nicholas and Brittany Lawler, who were arrested in Indiana last week on charges of interfering with custody. Hiser is currently being held in a juvenile detention center because of her disappearance, charged with inducing panic.
A judge set bond at $100,000 each and appointed a public defender to represent the Lawlers on Friday.
