Jenny from Nature's Corner says cabbage is a cold crop, meaning that it can tolerate the colder temperatures.
But cabbage it's the only crop that can be planted right now. Jenny says brussels sprouts, broccoli, and kale are also cold crops great for this time of year.
As far as landscape beds Jenny recommends using Preen. She says it prevents weeds from germinating.
Jenny says at Nature's Corner they also get a lot of calls about moles this time of year, especially from those with sand soil. She says one way to prevent mole damage it to use MoleMax or TomCat Mole Killer.
Jenny says you can start fertilizing your lawn now and she recommends using Milorganite, which you can use along with seed.
