TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Tiffin Police and the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit arrested a man they say had heroin and crack cocaine on him Thursday evening.

Police say the task force got a tip about drug activity near the intersection of Coe and Schonhardt Streets in Tiffin. Officers responded to the area and stopped a car.

Police say officers ended up searching the vehicle and found heroin, crack cocaine, criminal tools and cash.

Officers arrested Devon Starks, 23, of Fremont. Starks is charged with possession of crack cocaine. Police say more charges, including trafficking heroin and crack cocaine, are pending.

“I am pleased to see the outcome of today's arrest. Arrests like today, allows our Officers to send a strong message to the folks who come in to our area to poison our community that it simply will not be tolerated in this city,” Tiffin Police Chief Fred Stevens said in a statement.
