Eli the Magician joins WTOL Your Morning for good cause

(Toledo News Now) - If you love magic and supporting your local schools Northwood Schools District is giving you an opportunity to do both.

Eli the Magician, who is helping the district with a fundraiser, has a couple of tricks up his sleeve.

An experienced magician, Eli has performed all across the country and even Italy. He says he was inspired to start magic because his father.

“My dad is a professional magician, he has been doing it for almost 40 years now and I just wanted to be like my dad,” said Eli. “If my dad was a plumber, I would probably be a plumber.”

Eli says magic is a constant commitment, but one that he loves.

“It is a 24 hour thing, you have to constantly be thinking about it and coming up with new things and modifying things and making it your own. That is really the key, is to make things your own,” said Eli.

Michelle with the Northwood PTO says the fundraiser is a great opportunity for the community to help out and make some memories. She says it is good for all ages. Eli says the show is not just magical but also comical as well.

Northwood's Magic with Eli fundraiser will be held in the Northwood High School auditorium Friday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com.
