Search for Chelsea Bruck continues as snow melts

(Toledo News Now) - It's been nearly five months since Chelsea Bruck disappeared, but the search to find her is not over.

The 22-year-old disappeared from a Halloween party in Monroe County back in October. Police, family, friends, and even strangers have spent time looking for her since then, and on Thursday another search took place.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Department targeted the Pointe Mouilee State Game Area on Thursday. It's an area they've searched before.

The idea was to see if anything had surfaced since the snow melted in connection to her disappearance.

Chelsea Bruck's mother says it's a good feeling to know they're still active.

Leannda Bruck spends the majority of her time putting together fliers to send around the country. They also post fliers three days a week anywhere they can, from Toledo to metro Detroit.

She says she is truly committed to finding her daughter.

"It's my daughter. I cannot give it up,” she said. “I'm out there 12, 14 hours a day. If you're not optimistic, the devil wins and that won't happen."

It is currently unknown if anything was found during the search.

Anyone with information on Chelsea's Bruck's whereabouts should call Crime Stopper at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587).
