TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Uptown Toledo is on the rise, and with a big grant coming in, artists and businesses are expected to soar.
The Economic and Community Development Institute was awarded a $200,000 grant from two foundations. It is an investment for the Uptown Toledo Arts Entrepreneur Initiative designed to enhance neighborhood and commercial revitalization in uptown Toledo.
The money will be used to provide access to capital for local artists and business owners in the area.
“Artist are very creative however, not many have the business side and we want them to expand their businesses within this market place,” said Inna Kinney from Invest, Educate, Innovate.
She says the ultimate goal is to see the uptown Toledo area thrive.
