LUCAS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - The Lucas County Sheriff's Department has released the preliminary results from their St. Patrick's Day checkpoints designed to check for drunk drivers.
Deputies tell us six people were arrested overnight, two of which were charged with driving under the influence.
Twelve people were cited in total. More than 500 cars were stopped.
The checkpoints were held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in 3 locations: on State Route 2 at Shanrock Drive, in the 6500 block of Angola Road and in the 2800 block of North Reynolds.
