TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Whole Foods Market has announced plans to open a 40,000 square foot store in Toledo near Secor and Executive Parkway.
The company is an organic foods grocer whose standards prohibit artificial flavors, color, sweeteners or preservatives.
Whole Foods currently has 408 stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, only six of which are in Ohio.
Many are thrilled about the new store coming to Toledo, including Neha Bhadyel who says she drives all the way to Ann Arbor, Michigan to get her families groceries at Whole Food Market.
"We have to do quite a few trips to Ann Arbor to get our milk and get the organic meat, the lamb, and chicken, stuff like that. So if they have one over here, it'll be really convenient for us, we won't have to drive there that often, we could probably just stop by in the evening after work, and pick up what we need, and go back home," said Bhadyel.
