Most popular day for Chinese food Christmas Day

Grub Hub features roughly 30,000 restaurants on its site across more than 800 cities in the U.S. They say Chinese food is 152 percent more popular on Christmas Day than it is throughout the rest of the year.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Many people are now recovering from a delicious Christmas meal. Plenty of families fire up the oven and celebrate with a ham and other traditional holiday foods, but others choose another route for their Noel feast.

Chinese food has become more of a tradition now for some people on Christmas day.

Grub Hub features roughly 30,000 restaurants on its site across more than 800 cities in the U.S. They say Chinese food is 152 percent more popular on Christmas Day than it is throughout the rest of the year.

In fact, three of the top five days of the year to order Chinese food are Christmas Day, Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.

Thursday several Chinese Restaurants around Toledo were open. Owners say they find more people eat Chinese during dinner.
