ADRIAN, MI (Toledo News Now) - The Adrian Mall is under new ownership.
A Dallas-based firm, Tabani Group, has purchased the mall and they say they plan to make it the area's premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
“We are very excited to have joined the Adrian community and welcoming the opportunity we've been given to offer additional retail, restaurant and entertainment options for residents of both Adrian and the surrounding area,” said Zeshan Tabani. “We are eager to invest in community events and form lasting partnerships with area businesses and organizations.”
The firm says in the days since its recent acquisition of the property, the mall has already attracted retail and restaurant interest.
Community leaders say the mall's change in ownership will bring positive change and invigorate the city's commercial district.
“Having a strong mall is a vital part of the city's overall economic strength,” said Adrian Mayor Jim Berryman. “The Tabani Group's investment in our community is another giant leap forward in Adrian's renaissance.”
“Revitalizing the Adrian Mall is a huge part in boosting the local economy,” added Jim Van Doren, executive director of Lenawee Now. “It will bring in new jobs and opportunities for our community as well as provide shopping and entertainment. We look forward to this venture with the Tabani Group and welcome them to Lenawee County.”
