Sylvania Police investigating string of car vandalism

Sylvania Police are investigating after residents in one neighborhood say their car windows were smashed.

SYLVANIA, OH (Toledo News Now) - Sylvania Police are investigating after residents in one neighborhood say their car windows were smashed.

Police say nothing was taken from the cars; the windows were busted for no apparent reason other than to cause damage. According to police reports, seven cars were vandalized, most of them near Eagle Trace and Centennial Farm subdivisions.

Victims say the damage is costing them $200-300.

"I was furious because things like this just don't happen and it was random," said Michelle Booth. "[It's] another expense nobody needs and especially when it's my only form of transportation, [I] couldn't go anywhere or do anything."

Police say they currently have no suspects and are still investigating this string of crimes. Anyone with information that could help them should call police at 419-855-8900.
