Suspect arrested after breaking into Oregon home with pellet gun

OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) - A man is behind bars after breaking into a home in an Oregon neighborhood and walking around with a pellet gun.

Police say Malcolm Morales and another suspect broke into a home in the Old Eastmoreland neighborhood and walked around carrying an air soft pellet gun during the early morning hours of September 12.

"It's disappointing, more than anything. You try to take care of your things and have a nice place to live for you and your family," said Keith Tinta, who has lived in the area his entire life. "It's pretty scary to think that you could be coming home from work and seeing people who you think can have assault weapons, because from a distance you can't tell"

Tinta says it's scary because he has a 2-year-old son and his wife is pregnant.

According to police, Morales and the unknown suspect did not get away with anything.

Also in the Old Eastmoreland area: There has been a string of car break-ins and a man's car window was shot out by a paint ball gun. Those crimes are still under investigation.
