2-A-Days: Arkansas High

TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) - The Arkansas High football team fell to Parkview in the first round of the Playoffs last year. Head Coach Todd Ledford believes that the recipe for the Razorbacks success this season is not giving up the big plays.

The Razorbacks had a strong junior class last season that saw the field a lot. This senior class, led by running back Andrew Bishop, all around athlete Stacy Moss, and tight end Kylar Nowlin will have to lead this team back to the playoffs and hopefully further.

"With our quarterback, I think we will throw the football and catch the football a little bit better. Andrew Bishop is back at tailback and Quadarius Cheatham," Ledford said. "Between the two of them, they could be exciting to watch. If they get in the open, they can take the air out of the stadium."

The Razorbacks defense looks to be physical and will be led by linebacker Johnathon Bailey, who was their leading tackler last season.

"I think we are going to have a very good defense. I'm really pleased so far. Our secondary is pretty athletic, so hopefully they can cause some turnovers," Ledford said. "Our kicking game is going to be good. We are looking forward to the start."

The Razorbacks will host Texas High for the State Line Rivalry Friday at 8 p.m.
