Quarterback Myles Brennan put on a dazzling offensive performance Friday leading St. Stanislaus to a 55-32 win over Hancock.
The St. Stanislaus sophomore tossed 40 passes, completed 29 for 451 yards and three touchdowns.
Brennan also had success finding the end zone on the ground...he cracked the goal line 4 times. 7 touchdowns in one night propels Brennan to this week's Mississippi Power High School Football Player of the Week.
Brennan said,"If it wasn't for our coaching staff and our "O" line giving me time to make those completions and throws we wouldn't be in this position right now. Our surrounding teammates and our coaching staff does a great job of preparing us for these nights."
St. Stanislaus head coach Bill Conides says Myles has all the tools necessary to become a marquee quarterback, capable of getting the Rockachaws deep into the 4A State playoffs.
"I love the fact that he's one game at a time kind of guy,"stated Conides. "He's never satisfied. He understands that this is the first step of a very long journey. What's great is that he just comes to work everyday. He's an extreme coach able guy and that's a tribute to his character."
St. Stanislaus has been producing gunslinger quarterbacks over the years and Myles Brennan is the next one in line to pile up the yards, the points and victories.
St. Stanislaus entertains Long Beach Friday night at 7 in the Bay.
