HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Max Holloway learned that he'd be fighting Clay Collard only a few days ago, but it didn't make a difference as the Waianae native defeated Collard via TKO on Saturday at UFC Fight Night.
Holloway fought Collard because his original opponent, Mirsad Bektic, recently suffered an injury and the change didn't phase him at all.
The 22-year-old dominated Collard from the opening round with multiple strikes to the head and body and it culminated in the final five minutes as Holloway took the fight to the ground and barraged Collard with several punches to the head forcing the official to stop the fight.
It's Holloway's third straight win and his record improves to 10-3.
