Grace Community hoping big senior class leads the way

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - "We are a really motivated group, wide receiver Jonny Spitzer said. "We work really hard, and we are really scrappy because we are not the most talented in the world."

Meet Grace Community who plays in TAPPS. Don't let the talent pool fool you though, the Cougars up-tempo offense will go as athlete Chandler Nutt goes. "I love the fast paced offense," Nutt said. "Its good that I can run around and throw it some. Then even if he puts me at receiver I can do stuff there so its just a great offense. I love it."

Joining the East Texas heavy TAPPS Division II, District 2 this year is All Saints. So bragging rights will be on the line between the Trojans, Brook Hill, T.K. Gorman, and Grace. "Well I am friends with a lot of the guys from Gorman, All Saints, Brook Hill and we all like to talk a little trash," Spitzer said. "Since we are all in the same in town, we all have bragging rights that we want to work for," lineman Landon Ashberk said. "Like who is the best school."

The Cougars plan on being that top team and have high hopes with a lot of experience returning in 2014. "This big group of seniors, we have about 14 of us so we are trying to get out there and win some playoff games this year," Nutt said.
