Pittsburgh Steelers first and second string running backs, Le'Veon Bell and Legarrette Blount arrested Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from the car and pulled it over, said Detective Brian Kohlhepp of the Ross Police Department. In the vehicle a baggy containing about 20 grams of marijuana was discovered by police.
The league will likely discipline the pair, but will have to wait until the case is settled. Bell and Blount are expected to be charged with possession of marijuana. Bell could also be charged for driving under the influence.
Blount signed a free agent deal with the Steelers this offseason. His most recent stint was with the New England Patriots last year.
The Steelers drafted Bell in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. As a rookie he won the starting job and carried the ball 244 times for 860 yards and eight touchdowns last year.
