TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Metroparks of the Toledo Area has announced three new mascots.
The mascots – an oak leaf, tree frog and owl – were selected and will be used starting this fall, but they still need names. The Metroparks are calling on help from the public to name the mascots.
According to their Facebook page, a group came up with four name ideas for each of the mascots. Now they're asking the public to vote on their favorites. Some of the name choices include Lester the leopard frog, Otis the oak leaf, and Owlberta.
