Kevin Gausman shut down the Indians offense to get Baltimore at least one victory in their weekend trip to Cleveland. The Orioles won 4-1 behind Gausman's six inning, two hit performance. He allowed one run.
The Tribe held a 1-0 lead until the sixth inning when the Birds rallied to get a lead. J.J. Hardy and Chris Davis both drove in runs in the frame. From there they put it away with home runs in the seventh and ninth inning.
Jason Kipnis drove in the only Cleveland run in the fourth. Danny Salazar took the loss, but pitched well. Salazar threw five innings allowing only two runs.
